About the Artist
Jennine Hough, a North Carolina native, received her undergraduate degree in art from The University of North Carolina and her Masters in Fine Arts from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

She continued her studies as a recipient of a scholarship to The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, as a fellow to The MacDowell Colony and as a recipient of a NEA/SECCA grant.

After an early career in teaching painting and art history in the Atlanta area, Jennine focused her efforts solely on painting. She has had solo exhibits in New York, Washington, Atlanta, Santa Fe, Aspen and other cities and has participated in many group exhibitions nationwide.

In 1999 Jennine relocated in Aspen, Colorado, where she has a studio space at The Red Brick Center for the Arts. She is married to Joe Myers.

Artist Statement
I don't remember being particularly passionate about making art as a child, although I always took art courses, like I took dance lessons, and piano lessons, and golf lessons.
